Danilo Atienza Air Base, also known as Manila Sangley International Airport, is an air force base located in the US Naval Station Sangley Point, Cavite City, near Manila. The airport is an active military base operated by the Philippine Air Force. The government seeks to redevelop the Atienza Air Base as a commercial airport to complement the existing Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport under a USD10 billion project. This project is in addition to the long term plan of developing a new airport in Manila.
